Johnson quickly lowered the taxes as soon as he was in office, But When the ECONOMY needed to raise taxes to help pay for the war, president L.B.j. refused which lead to numerous inflations. THERE WAS A LITTLE OVER 58 THOUSAND AMERICAN MILITARY FATALITIES THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE WAR. WHEN ARRIVING BACK HOME, MOST SOLDIERS WERE UNAPPRECIATED, AND MANY WERE EVEN ATTACKED. BEING THAT, THIS WAS THE FIRST LIVE BROADCASTING WAR THE UNITED STATES PEOPLE HAD WATCHED. THE PEOPLE IN AMERICA WERE BEING TOLD THAT THEY WERE WINNING THE WAR, BUT THEY WATCHED EVERY AMERICAN SOLDIER GET SHOT AND KILLED, WHICH FORMED THEIR DOUBTS. DUE TO THAT, THE PEOPLE BEGAN TO DISTRUST THE GOVERNMENT.
